Latest Cookie Creation

Ok - these are not lo-fat - but I'm sure the recipe could be slightly altered. I made them for Chad because they used to sell something similar in the store and they stopped.


Chocolate Covered Devil's Food Cookies

1/4 cup softened butter or margarine
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (18.5 ounce) box devil's food cake mix

Cream butter and cheese. Blend in egg and vanilla extract. Add dry cake mix, 1/3 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Cover; chill 30 minutes.

Roll into one inch balls and flatten to about � inch thickness on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.

Coat in Vanilla or Chocolate Almond Bark.

Makes about 4 dozen.
